Defense Collaboration Tool Suite Award
June 16, 2003 - DCTS Task awarded under NextGen Contract

SNVC, as part of the SRA Team, was awarded a task order under the existing DISA NextGen contract, to provide design, engineering, development and implementation support under the Defense Collaboration Tool Suite (DCTS) Systems Integration and Engineering Support contract.

DCTS provides combatant commands, services, and defense agencies, real-time and asynchronous collaboration capability including voice and video conferencing, document and application sharing, instant messaging, and whiteboard capability in support of defense planning. The Collaboration Management Office (CMO) identifies, fields and sustain an evolving standard collaboration toolkit that bridges between DoD and the Intelligence Community. The system enhances simultaneous, ad hoc crisis and deliberate continuous operational action planning (vertically and horizontally) across operational theaters and other domains that provide operational units and defense organizations with simultaneous access to real-time operational, tactical, and administrative planning information. The DCTS strategy ensures that all collaboration tools bought and used by the DoD meet pre-coordinate conditions which maximize the likelihood that all individuals in the DoD maintain an ability to electronically interact with any other individual within the DoD. This strategy is further promulgated to partner organizations including other U.S. Government Organizations, State Government Organizations, NATO Organizations, and Coalition Partner Organization.
