SNVC Awarded $8M, 84-Month
Blanket Purchase Agreement for Army Knowledge Online
Program Office Support Services by U.S. Army
FAIRFAX, Va., 14 June 2005, SNVC, L.C., a small veteran-owned
company, providing information technology and security
services to federal and commercial customers, announced
today that it has been awarded an $8M, 84-Month Blanket
Purchase Agreement for Army Knowledge Online (AKO) Program
Office support services. This contract will support
the AKO Program Office in preparation for and during
the AKO Enterprise Services (AKO-ES) contract, due for
award in July. SNVC will be providing support to the
AKO in three primary areas; Program Management, AKO-ES
Oversight, AKO-ES Quality Assurance and Testing Support.
The AKO portal, located at www.us.army.mil, provides
active duty service members, the Army National Guard,
the Army Reserves, Department of the Army civilians
and Army retirees with e-mail accounts, distance-learning
opportunities, search engines, instant messaging, an
online collaboration center and chat rooms. Users can
access Army forms and regulations, data on installations,
change-of-station information and general news through
the portal.
