SNVC joins the March of Dimes WalkAmerica
April 23, 2007 – SNVC believes good business and good corporate citizenship go together. Inspired by one of our own employees, we united our employees, friends, families, and colleagues to create Team SNVC Success to support the March of Dimes. We watched our team grow to 24 people (plus 10 babies and toddlers!), and then watched as our donations collectively rose to more than $6130 . Nicole Vagnerini, March of Dimes Coordinator for WalkAmerica Manassas, stated, “We kept watching the fundraising efforts of Team SNVC Success and wondering, Who are they ?!” For a small business of 60 people, we experienced the power that can result from people joining together behind a single purpose, which has laid the foundation of a legacy as well as the outreach to meet the needs of our community.
About the March of Dimes:
Our mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. March of Dimes researchers, volunteers, educators, outreach workers and advocates work together to give all babies a fighting chance against the threats to their health: prematurity, birth defects, low birthweight.
