Awarded the Army's $30 million PEO-EIS Independent
Verification and Validation Contract
Fairfax, Virginia / March 17, 2008 – SNVC, a leading veteran owned small
business providing program management and IT solutions to the
Federal Government, has been awarded a $30 million contract to
provide independent verification and validation (IV&V) support
to the Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems
(PEO EIS), focusing on two primary SAP systems: the General Fund
Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and the Global Combat Support System -Army (GCSS-Army).
The contract will provide IV&V throughout
each program’s product lifecycle continuously verifying and
validating that the systems and documentation conform to program
requirements and meet user needs. The IV&V contract services
include software design, architecture, configuration,
deployment, training and related documentation required to meet
the GFEBS and GCSS-Army program objectives.
SNVC and its team members, SAIC, EDC
Consulting, and CherryRoad GT will help GFEBS address
long-term Army and Department of Defense (DoD) goals and satisfy
legislative requirements imposed by the Chief Financial Officers
(CFO) Act. The vision of the project is to implement a CFO
Act-compliant general fund finance and accounting capability and
provide DoD with accurate, reliable, and timely financial
information. GFEBS will serve as the Army's financial backbone,
capturing general ledger data into a single system, using SAP as
its enterprise resource planning tool.
Team SNVC will also provide the IV&V
support to the GCSS-Army program. As the primary tactical
logistics enabler and combat multiplier, the vision of GCSS-Army
is to integrate the tactical supply chain, obtain accurate
equipment readiness, support split base operations, and obtain
up-to-date status on maintenance actions and supplies in support
of the warfighter.
The GCSS-Army will re-engineer the current tactical Standard
Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS).
Its rollout will allow more than 135,000 soldier and
contractor users in the total Army to view complete logistics
management information and make timely, data-driven decisions.
Mr. Bill Lytle, Vice President of Capture Management for SNVC, stated,
“Our dedication to the Army’s Program Executive Office –
Enterprise Information Systems (PEO-EIS) is clear and evidenced
by the fact that we’ve been a long standing provider of business
solutions to them.
We are pleased that PEO-EIS continues to rely on our team to
help them achieve their mission.”
