Mary Whitley

Member, Board of Directors

After a 27 year career with the Federal Government, Ms. Whitley joined MAXIMUS, Inc. in December 2005 as Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the Enterprise Systems Segment, and assumed responsibility as President for the Security Solutions Division in May 2006. As such, she supports Federal agencies with identity management and credentialing implementation services, custom web application development and security consulting.

Prior to MAXIMUS, Ms. Whitley was Vice President and General Manager, Global Infrastructure Services, Public Sector of the UNISYS Corporation. During her tenure there, her team implemented and managed $100M in information technology products and technical services projects primarily for the DoD.

Prior to December 2005, Ms. Whitley was Vice President and General Manager, Global Infrastructure Services, Public Sector, UNISYS Corporation for two years. She was the Vice President responsible for building new business and providing infrastructure services to Department of Defense Unisys customers. She led a team of Engagement Managers and Program Managers to implement and manage $100M in projects consisting of information technology products and technical services.

Ms. Whitley retired from the Federal Government as a Senior Executive in January 2004. During the last four years of her career, she served as the Assistant Commissioner for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Sales for the Federal Technology Service, General Services Administration (GSA). As the Sales and Customer Relationship Manager for FTS' $8.7 Billion per year business, Ms. Whitley developed business for FTS' Network Services, IT Solutions, and Professional Services business lines. She created policy and business processes enabling FTS associates to maintain excellent business relationships and effectively sell GSA's value-added technical and acquisition services to the Federal agencies. Ms. Whitley also served as a Senior Program Manager and Director in the Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) and Deputy Assistant Commissioner for the Office of IT Solutions.

Ms. Whitley served 11 years as an Army transportation and logistics officer. She earned a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a Masters Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California , and graduated from the Senior Executive Fellows Program of the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University . She is a 1999 Federal 100 Award Winner.
