SNVC Awarded Contract to Support Installation Geospatial Information and Services for the Army

Fairfax, Virginia / January 12, 2009 – SNVC, a veteran-owned company, has been awarded a contract to support the Army’s Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management (OACSIM) with its need for Army-wide installation management geospatial capabilities. SNVC will provide geospatial services and solutions for the Army, as well as other DoD activities.

SNVC has been supporting the Installation and Management Command (IMCOM) since 2003, leading several GIS efforts that pertain to the facilities planning and Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) data collection and analysis. “The SNVC Team is excited to provide the Army with a complete capability to host and share standardized data layers for facilities planning, environmental impact and use reporting,” said Ron Burton, SNVC’s Vice President for Army Programs.

SNVC is the prime contractor for this 5-year effort, with a $158M program ceiling. SNVC leads a team that includes: CH2MHill, Analytical Consulting Group, Bentley, DigitalGlobe, ESRI, GeoEye, Google, IGIS Technologies, Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Global Services, MDA Federal, PAR Government Systems, Penobscot Bay Media, and SPADAC. “We are pleased to continue our support of the IMCOM and look forward to developing new solutions that support the IGI&S requirements,” stated Bill Lytle, Chief Strategy Officer for SNVC.
