SNVC, L.C. is pleased to announce its first win under its prime contract vehicle Information Technology Services - Small Business (ITS-SB). The task pertains to warranty and maintenance support. SNVC ITS-SB Team Core Competencies span across both functional and technical areas, including Assessment and Migration Services (like SharePoint 2010 migration); Disaster Recovery/COOP planning; biometrics; and wireless network management. So far, however, most of the TOs released to date fall in the Warranty and Maintenance area.
The contract is managed by the Program Director Army Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software and Solutions (PD CHESS) office. Its mission is to be the primary source to support the Warfighter’s information dominance objectives by developing, implementing and managing commercial information technology contracts that provide enterprise-widenet-centric hardware, software and support services for the Army. Under Army Regulation 25-1: Army Knowledge Management and Information Technology Management(04 Dec 2008), CHESS is the “primary source” for purchases of COTS software, desktops, and notebook computers regardless of dollar value. To use another “primary source” requires a CHESS waiver.
Since the start of the program, there have been 35 TOs issued, several cancelled, several pending, and seven awarded. To date, according to the yearend CHESS Quarterly Report, of those seven TOs that were awarded, only six companies received the work. SNVC is pleased to say that it was one of those six.
