SNVC CEO to lead Virginia Chamber's Small Business Committee

SNVC is pleased to announce that Tom DeWitt, CEO/President, has been appointed to chair the Small Business Committee of the Virginia Chamber. This is a three year commitment. By serving in this capacity, Mr. DeWitt also becomes a member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. Mr. DeWitt was inducted along with several other Board appointees and committee chairs at the Chamber’s Annual meeting on 25 January 2012.

In June of 2011, the Virginia Chamber of Commerce committed to a partnership with local chambers to ensure the voice of small business is heard with minimal investment and maximum impact. This new initiative allows members to stay abreast of important policy initiatives on the state and federal levels that affect business. It also provides the means to support the Chamber’s efforts to improve the competitiveness of the state as well as to participate in important policy events throughout the year. This means that Mr. DeWitt leads a significant committee within the Chamber and will help raise the voice of small businesses throughout the Commonwealth.
