Careers at SNVC

Voted one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia in 2011 and 2012 by Virginia Business magazine, SNVC offers competitive salaries, a great benefits plan and the opportunity for professional growth. As a veteran-owned company, SNVC is a proud member of Jobs for America’s Best Hire Veterans Program.

Your SNVC Experience

SNVC is a growing company, but we operate as a family. When you come to work at SNVC, you are welcomed into a collaborative, supportive environment with a company that is invested in your success. SNVC is full of high-energy, creative, innovative thought leaders just like you, who have the drive and potential to accomplish anything. We are committed to fulfilling your professional needs, while giving you room to grow and time to spend with your loved ones.

  • Compensation – We’re selective when we hire, so we offer our employees top salaries that are adjusted annually based on market conditions and professional growth. We offer bonuses based on performance, as well as an end-of-year profit share based on the company’s collective success. We have a referral program in place to reward employees for helping us find additional outstanding candidates.
  • Benefits – SNVC offers one of the best benefits packages in the industry. We cover 90% of medical costs and extend coverage to spouses, families and dependents of our employees. The Section 125 Premium Conversion plan allows employees to pay group medical or dental insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars, and we have two Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) in place to allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars for out-of-pocket medical expenses. We also offer an Employee Assistance Program, Protection Insurances, a 401(k) plan, generous Paid Time Off (PTO), 10 paid holidays, and bereavement leave, jury duty leave and military leave.

Another great benefit SNVC offers is its transportation reimbursement plan. We understand that when gas prices are high, getting to work can become a challenge. In the spirit of understanding, we have offered transportation reimbursement in the past when gas prices have been extremely high, and will continue to do so when the economy dictates that it would benefit our employees.

  • Professional Growth – At SNVC, we invest in your future. We offer leadership training, career service awards, tuition and certification reimbursement, and other incentive programs to help you get the skills you need to do the best job possible and feel professionally satisfied. We have a partnership with Learning Tree International and support growth programs in our own custom Professional Development Program.
  • Corporate Citizenship – We support the March of Dimes Walk for Babies each year. Over the past five years, we have raised over $50,000 for this cause. In 2011, Team SNVC Success was recognized as the top team in the Washington, D.C. area. We also support the USO and adopt military families each year for the holidays through "Project Elf."

We have a Green Initiative in place, participating in a recycling program, using shredders and offering a transportation fringe benefit. We’ve also added a “green fund” to our 401(k) offering. In 2012, we will participate in an Earth Day and/or Arbor Day program to plant trees in our communities in Virginia, Maryland and Arizona.

In 2008, we created The Aurora Foundation to combine our commitment to education with our commitment to veterans into our own charitable organization. With our "Boots to Books to Business" programs, we have partnered with over a dozen colleges and universities as well as with members of industry to help veterans graduate and get jobs. To learn more about The Aurora Foundation and its commitment to veteran education and employment, visit The Aurora Foundation’s website.
  • Company Culture – Our employees are the cream of the crop – known leaders and innovative thinkers in their fields. Our teams are the best of the best, and we work hard to foster an environment that encourages collaboration across teams. We have a monthly e-Newsletter that keeps employees informed of key events and accomplishments, and shares fun photos and updates on activities the company supports.
We believe in celebrating together as a company, so we host an annual holiday party in January and a Founder’s Day picnic every summer as a way for our employees to gather and mingle with corporate staff. For those who are new to SNVC, we host Meet and Greet sessions at the Tower Club and The Mason Inn so that they can meet the Executive Team and learn more about the company. Various project teams and HQ groups participate in monthly lunches, happy hour events and quarterly Q&A sessions with SNVC’s leadership team.
